The Picnic Pants are unisex children’s pants made for comfort and adventure. They are a relaxed, baggy fit with an elastic waistband and two patch pockets at the back.

A very simple and beginner-friendly design, this is a pattern you’ll love to sew, and they’ll love to wear again and again.

Skill level: very beginner friendly.

Sizes 12m–3: 1m
Sizes 4–8: 1.6m
Sizes 9–10: 1.8m

This is a digital sewing pattern, delivered as printable A4 and A0 PDF files.

Please note: The pattern is intentionally drafted with extra length so your little one can get more wear out of their Picnic Pants as they grow (finished length chart on page 5).

We suggest measuring your little one to find your desired finished length, then adding 10cm to this measurement when cutting your pants. The extra 10cm allows for a 5cm double-fold hem, plus an additional 5cm to create a cuff.

To create the cuff, fold the hem up 2.5cm twice and tack it in place. As your little one grows, simply unpick the cuff to add an extra 5cm of length, giving your little one even more wear out of their Picnic Pants.
